Meet the Team
Darin Schweickart
Owner / Architect
Darin is a 1996 graduate of Miami University, where he received a Bachelor of Environmental Design and a minor of Urban Design. In 1998, Darin attended Louisiana Tech University where he earned a Bachelor of Architecture. There he focused his studies on a thesis paper based on his interest in historic preservation.
Except for the year at Louisiana Tech, Darin spent 12 years working at an architectural, engineering, and surveying firm in Hillsboro, Ohio (the last four of those years was as a partner in the firm). In 2008, Darin formed DS2 Architects in Maysville, KY. He is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards and is licensed to provide architectural design in Ohio and Kentucky.
Darin is a lifelong resident of Sardinia, Ohio where he lives with his wife Kirsten and daughter Emma. He spends his spare time assisting with several local organizations such as the Sardinia Elementary PTO and the Sardinia Hope and Promise Foundation. In the spring, he enjoys being an assistant coach for his daughter's softball team.
Adam Raines
Project Manager
Adam joined DS2 Architects in June of 2008. In 2003, Adam received his Associates Degree in Applied Science at Technology Education College in Columbus, Ohio. After graduation Adam began working for an MEP design firm in Columbus where he specialized in plumbing design. In 2004, Adam began working with Darin in Hillsboro, Ohio where he completed many duties in the architectural projects.
Chrissy Calland Hunter
Architect
Chrissy graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2008 with a Bachelor of Art in Architecture. From there, she went on to receive a Masters of Architecture from the University of Tennessee. She is a Registered Architect in the State of Ohio and Kentucky.
Chrissy worked at DS2 in the summers while in school and then permanently joined the team in July of 2010. She works on all types of projects, but focuses most of her time on the company’s residential projects. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her two young sons and baking.
Curtis Ross
Project Manager
Curtis graduated from Sinclair Community College in 2010 with an associates in Architectural Technology. He joined DS2 architects in February of 2023. Curtis assists the DS2 team with a variety of residential and commercial projects.
Away from the office he enjoys working on the family farm, camping and taking in his daughters sporting events.
Amanda Scott
Office Manager
Amanda graduated from Xavier University in 2013 with a Degree in Radiologic Technology. After working in healthcare for 10 years, she decided to change careers and joined DS2 in the summer of 2020 as the Office Manager. Away from the office she enjoys camping and spending time with her family.
